This workshop starts off our 3D modeling series using Autodesk’s Fusion 360 CAD software and can also serve as an introduction into the world of 3D modeling. Participation requires no previous knowledge, but an understanding of 3D modeling in other CAD programs is advantageous.
We use Fusion 360 to create 3D models because it provides a complete suite of professional software at no cost. The contents of the workshop will help you to further implement your idea and also provide valuable information for experienced users.
Please be prepared to use your own laptop with a mouse. The Fusion 360 software should be pre-installed. You can download the software from the following link: http://www.autodesk.de/products/fusion-360/overview
Throughout the semester, independent projects can be built in the campus rapid prototyping lab with the use of large format 3D printers, soldering irons, lathes, milling machines, welders and much more.
