If you are interested in using 3D printers for your own projects, this workshop is a great way to understand this innovative process and get prepared to start printing.
We will present the fundamental process of additive manufacturing with thermoplastics using Fused Deposition Modeling. From start to finish, the entire process chain will be showcased on how digital models are selected or generated and printed with a 3D printer. The participants will get to know the components of a typical FDM 3D printer as well as the potential this process offers for the construction of prototypes.
Throughout the semester, independent projects can be built in the campus rapid prototyping lab with the use of large format 3D printers, soldering irons, lathes, milling machines, welders and much more.
