The SAXEED.ECO project contributes to strengthening existing cooperations between TU Chemnitz and participating universities and serves to establish new networks and cooperations. It focuses its goals and activities on the development of environmentally
friendly solutions for problems such as energy, water, and resource scarcity, as well as high unemployment rates. The project includes the establishment of a „Sustainability Lab“ in each foreign partner university in Jordan and Algeria. In these labs, students from the universities will be able to develop, test, and implement their project ideas and bring them to the market with the support of incubators available at the universities. Additionally, hands-on technical courses in these areas will be developed (e.g., installation and maintenance of solar systems). These courses will be regularly offered to students at the cooperating universities as elearning
courses even after the end of the project.
